Quick Overview

Apply for Dealer or Contractor Pricing

The PESC-F100 utilizes the same established energy savings attributes of existing DDC Energy Management Systems. The difference is that the PESC-F100 costs 1/4 of the price! Average size building with 100 pneumatic thermostats could possibly save $250,000 in a five-year period. Building owners can benefit from income generated from reduced energy bills, reduced maintenance costs due to monitoring/diagnostic capabilites, tax incentives and utility company rebates.

The ecWizard (Model # PESC-F100) connects between the thermostat/controller and the controlled device, usually a damper actuator or any heating/cooling valve. A wireless receiver with internal outputs is configured to control the pneumatic switching valves by providing on, off, and auto control. Powered by batteries or optional energy harvesting. Hardwired supply air sensor and tube connected CFM inputs. Input values are transmitted wirelessly to the remote communications hub (ecHost).
Additional Information APPLICATION
Typical installation for the PESC- F100 would be to mount the device in the ceiling next to the VAV Box. Wall mounted room temperature sensors transmit wireless temperature information to the remote communications controller. The remote communications controller provides the capabilities to monitor room temperature, supply air temperature, and CFM. Additional monitoring options are available.

MODES OF CONTROL
-Auto: Provides a direct unaffected control from the existing pneumatic thermostat.
-Off: Shuts off the heating and/or cooling to the controlled device.
-On: Overrides the thermostat and provides full heating and/or cooling to the controlled device.

FEATURES
Can easily monitor CFM airflow and Supply Air. (THE MOST IMPORTANT FEATURE OTHER THAN ENERGY SAVINGS)
Supply air temperature and air flow are the two values that you need to know in order to make conditions right. This is also an important feature in diagnosing problems with the HVAC control. Without this feature it requires a technician to visit the area using a ladder and devices to measure the supply air temperature. Historical data logs also provide valuable information about your systems past performance. With the high cost of labor this feature saves thousands of dollars each year.

Individual zone schedules with holidays
Not every zone of a building is occupied at the same time. With individual zone schedules, you only heat or cool the areas that are occupied. That means no wasting money and energy by conditioning an unoccupied area.

Alarms if thermostat is not adjusted properly.
If the PESC-F100 continues shutting the system off from its set point limitations, then it goes into alarm condition and auto position. It will then allow the room thermostat to control past its limits setpoints giving the thermostat complete control. But it does tattletale with a alarm condition. The building supervisor must phone or personally readjust the thermostat to its proper settings and release the alarm.

Adjustable dead band setpoints
This is a valuable energy-saving sequence especially in operations that are 24/7. The dead band is the range between the cooling and heating setpoint. During that range, the heating and cooling are shut off completely.
Pushbutton override on room sensor This is a nice feature enabling HVAC to only the areas that are occupied in lieu of turning on the complete system. If an area needs to be occupied during it’s unoccupied setting, the override will supply air to that zone only.

Tenant after hour billing opportunities
In some leases the owner can charge their tenants for running their air-conditioning after-hours. This is done by creating a log whenever the pushbutton override is activated.

Complete shut off of air (CFM), heating, and cooling in unoccupied mode
Directly connect to the damper or valve, providing positive close off.

Room thermostat continues to control the temperature if it loses communications
The PESC-F100 uses both the existing pneumatic thermostat and a new wireless temperature sensor that communicates back to the PESC-F100. If communication somehow is compromised, the existing pneumatic thermostat is not affected by it and continues to control in the auto position. Wireless communications through open ceiling areas or below the ceiling. Quite often its "clear sailing" in the ceiling areas making the communications very simple and robust. This also makes the installation of the device much simpler, less intrusive to the occupants, and more affordable since there is no cabling involved.

Will not become obsolete and is backwards compatible to future all electric upgrades. (With optional upgrade module still in development.)
By adding a companion module the customer does not lose money when he decides to upgrade to all electric DDC control system. This dependable device will always be in your ceiling and will never become obsolete.

Temperature set point limitations.
Out of desperation people are constantly adjusting their thermostats to 55° or 90° in hopes of temperature improvements, but when the air-conditioning is finally repaired the adjustments cause additional problems. The main controller is located in the ceiling which prevents the public from tampering and reduces replacement costs.

Trend logs/data logs for after hour billing, supply air, room air, lighting, motion, CFM, and thermostat miss-adjustments.
As everyone knows information is valuable. The historical data from monitoring these conditions saves thousands of dollars in energy and labor.

Is not susceptible to contamination like the older systems that do not have clean dry control air supplies.
Older HVAC systems pneumatic control line's are usually always contaminated with some oil, moisture and dirt. The PESC-F100 pneumatic on-off auto switch does not have small orifices and is not susceptible to contamination.

Compatible with demand response programs.
The PESC-F100 can reduce electrical consumption in demand response programs which provide additional funding for installation.

30 day money back guarantee for any reason.
Because the PESC-F100 requires very little labor, building personnel can try 5 or more controllers and if they don't like the PESC-F100 for any reason they can simply return it for a money back guarantee within 30 days.
