What is the payback on this investment?

  • It depends on the building of course.  Historically mechanical energy savings are 10% to 50%.  If you have a facility that has varying occupancies and you have to accommodate a small percentage of occupants while the remaining square footage of the building is unoccupied the net percentage of savings could be as high as 20 % to 60% of your mechanical energy bill.
  • If you incorporate it with motion and lighting detectors and that will provide additional savings.
