How fast of a response time is your ecWizard control system?

  • You have to remember that our system is not really a control system.  Your proven reliable pneumatic controls are still controlling simply like they always have.  What we are doing is limiting the pneumatic thermostats adjustability, monitoring their performance and simply turning them off when not required.  Room temperatures change very slowly so our sensor readings will be slow, dependable and accurate.
  • Our room sensor sends a reading every minute.  The same with the supply air sensor and the CFM sensor.  The actuator sensors could even be read every two minutes.  The occupancy sensors could be sent every three minutes.  The push button override can be read only when required.  The communications for the ecWizard control is very simple and robust.
  • By installing the room sensor on the desk near the wall mounted room pneumatic thermostat we can use the power, wiring and computer networking capabilities that are associated with a modern day desk in a normal facility.  This completely enhances the dependability with the short distance in which the wireless system has to communicate.  Now the room sensor disguised as a pen and pencil holder plugged into the computer becomes the hub of the communications.  The controller and/or wireless lighting/motion sensors need only to communicate within area of 1200 Sq.ft. space which is the average thermostatic zone of control.
