What optional energy savings are available with the control?

  • When combined with lighting and/or motion detector systems.  When a room becomes empty, the lighting and/or motion detector sends wireless signals to the controller indicating unoccupied status. The ecWizard controller responds by switching to energy saving mode, reducing HVAC runtime by 10% to 50% and more. Once occupants return to the room, the lighting and/or motion detector senses the motion and body heat then immediately sends a wireless signal to the ecWizard controller. The controller responds to this signal by recovering to the occupant’s set point within the assigned recovery time.
  • One important option is the tenant energy usage monitoring capabilities.  With supply air temperature and CFM inputs the actual amount of BTUs can be calculated based upon the tenant’s usage.  The receptacle and lighting electrical system can be incorporated into the optional metering control for total tenant energy usage.  The information received can be interpolated and calculated into an actual energy usage and invoiced for each tenant.  By holding each occupant accountable for their energy use would represent a major reduction through out the facility.  It also provides for inexpensive meter reading for the condo office ownership that is becoming very popular in the class A type office facilities.
