I don't believe wireless is as reliable as good old hardwired wiring to the controller.

  • I believe you're right but hardwiring is not without its problems.
  • Hardwired communications to the control systems is one of the biggest problems that incorporate the DDC automation industry, although the communications is housed in wiring it still picks up interference and disturbances providing hours of expensive diagnosis by high-priced specialists that never seem to get it rectified.
  • Telephone, electricians and communication workers are often going through the ceiling and disrupting cabling communications from control to control.
  • The communications that are being utilized with our ecWizard controller is not critical to the temperature control of the system.
  • ecWizard control does not have to continually communicate.  It requires only a minute blast of a wireless communication signal that if is interrupted is nonessential to the performance of the system.
  • Our wireless signals are very simple and rugged don't require the sophistication of the standard DDC control system.  These systems are constantly throwing signals to and from , thus overloading the communications within the hardwired control system. Often, there are also communication traffic problems.
